Growing Up is the debut studio album by the American rock band The Linda Lindas, released on April 8, 2022, by Epitaph Records.
Background
Before signing with the Linda Lindas, Brett Gurewitz of Epitaph Records knew Lucia and Mila's father, Carlos de la Garza, as they were both in the music industry. He had seen the Linda Lindas perform since they were young, but thought they were too young to think about record contracts. By 2020, he was ready to sign with the Linda Lindas.[6]
On May 4, the Linda Lindas played at the Los Angeles Public Library for an AAPI Heritage Month celebration.[7] During the event, they played their song "Racist, Sexist Boy." The library soon tweeted a video of the performance, which garnered a large amount of views.[citation needed]
