Armășești is a commune located in Ialomița County, Muntenia, Romania. It is composed of three villages: Armășești, Malu Roșu, and Nenișori. Bărbulești was also one of its component villages until 2006, when it was split off to form a separate commune.
Armășești is situated at the western edge of the Bărăgan Plain, on the banks of the Sărata River. It is located in the northwestern part of Ialomița County, 8.5 km (5.3 mi) from the city of Urziceni and 70 km (43 mi) from the county seat, Slobozia.
The Armășești train station serves the CFR Main Line 700, which connects Bucharest to Brăila, Galați and the border with Moldova at Giurgiulești
