Incomplete List

[edit]

Personally I'd suggest drop this page. The term "business integration" has linked back to the Enterprise Application Integration page and that page already contains a list of commercial and open/source products. Or if you want to keep this page, as an expansion of those product lists, there are a few things missing here e.g. Tibco products. (BusinessWorks, EMS etc.).IanB (talk) 14:08, 10 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

As this pages scope includes message orientated middleware, presumably this will therefore include Data Distribution Services. Please correct me if I am wrong, I intend to make changes to include DDS software if there are no objections. ChrisLloydPT (talk) 15:23, 30 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, business integration software is a very broad field, and I agree it's quite hard to include every player/product here. Personally I miss XBintegrator by Invenso in the list (http://www.invenso.com).Erwinbuggenhout (talk) 12:23, 18 April 2011 (UTC)erwinbuggenhout Hi, some important parameters I would add: (1) SaaS provision (2) connectors to major ERP vendors. In addition these (rather important) players are to be added: (1) ProcessGene BPM Suite ProcessGene BPM Cloud(2) SAP soution manager (3) INFOR DEM soution. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 132.74.99.86 (talk) 09:55, 25 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Since Gartner is being used as the base document it should include the latest Magic Quadrant for Application Infrastructure for Back End Application Integration Vendors. Some products are dated and need to be deleted (Example Cape Clear ESB is no longer around - needs deletion). Seems have too many apples/oranges. Needs segregation and clean up. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.15.124.160 (talk) 05:37, 10 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

There are some key players missing on this list. For example 2 of the biggest integration vendors are not even there: TIBCO and Software AG (WebMethods). —Preceding unsigned comment added by 193.191.138.240 (talk) 13:53, 11 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Question - does this list include data integration products vs. business integrtion vendors? If not, why is Mapforce on here? If so, then why not add Informatica, Progress, open source products like Talend, ETI, specialty products like Contivo, etc. etc. I'm confused about what this article is trying to communicate. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 12.159.5.2 (talk) 14:27, 10 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

OK - Informatica is here (my bad), but I would like to see more segmentation on the category "business integration". There are too many segments in this space to have a single article provide a meaningful comparison (EAI/ESB, BPM/BRM, SOA-based, Data integration, etc.). Can these be broken apart? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 12.159.5.2 (talk) 14:34, 10 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

The external links in the "Product Page" and "Requirements Document" columns violate WP:EL and WP:NOT. Since Wikipedia is not a web directory all those external links need to be removed. I am adding the {{External links}} tag to encourage clean up. (Requestion 16:06, 14 March 2007 (UTC))[reply]

It is true. The presence of these links is a temporary and necessary measure until the corresponding articles are insufficiently comprehensive or even don't exists. My intention is to eliminate all these links. Kmorozov 06:13, 15 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I removed the the two website columns from the top two tables because Wikipedia is WP:NOT a web directory. This article is now clean and I am removing the {{External links}} tag. (Requestion 19:03, 15 March 2007 (UTC))[reply]

There is more ESB software on wikipedia. For example, Mule_(software). Is it in plans on adding?

Some of the few items on the list seem to do very different things. Perhaps someone could group them into sub-groups? I am only familiar with a few of them, so I can't group all. DanielDemaret (talk) 22:28, 24 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Agree that this is a good idea. Huge and complex task, though. --KotetsuKat (talk) 19:50, 11 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Windows 2000

[edit]

Can we remove the table from below for Windows 2000. It's far from a supported version and I think it's a good practice to keep these types of articles current. If there are no objections then I will clean this up.--Kibbled bits (talk) 19:20, 26 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

List cleanup

[edit]

I've removed the entries without their own article. If we can agree upon some other list inclusion criteri per WP:LIST, then we could add others accordingly.

I think the price column should be removed as overly promotional per WP:NOPRICES. --Ronz (talk) 03:58, 23 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

More table entries

[edit]

I'd like more entries in the tables, adding, eg. the BSD family (FreeBSD, NetBSD, OpenBSD) where supported, PostgreSQL (should be a few that support it due to oracle similarities), helix java sql, probably more. 85.178.72.197 (talk) 14:28, 23 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Might make sense to add more tables, with additional technologies, rather than endlessly expand the table on database support. --KotetsuKat (talk) 19:52, 11 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

New open-source ESB

[edit]

We create new open-source ESB OpenHub. OpenHub is ESB based on Apache Camel and adds many usefull functions. It is possible to download from GitHub. It is possible add information about this new ESB into this page and compare it with other softwares? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Roman.havlicek (talkcontribs) 15:50, 31 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
