Margaret Corbin: Loyalist?

[edit]

There's one very confusing bit here.

"She was discharged from the Continental Army in 1783. Margret was a loyalist then soon after a patriot." What? She was a "loyalist" (meaning loyal subject and supporter of King George III) after being discharged from the Continental Army and after the war ended? That sentence is nonsensical. Should the second sentence be earlier in the article somewhere? Is it even correct?

I'm no historian, but can someone check this? CarlFink (talk) 06:18, 5 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

"Molly Pitcher" is not the nickname of Margaret Corbin. "Molly Pitcher" was the nickname of Mary Hays, wife of William Hays, who took over for her husband at the Battle of Monmouth.
