Logo image

[edit]

Someone changed logo to File:iPhone 14 (logo).svg and File:iPhone 14 Plus (logo).svg. And, I changed logo to File:iPhone 14 wordmark.svg regulary. I think File:iPhone 14 (logo).svg is similar with File:iPhone 14 wordmark.svg and File:iPhone 14 Plus (logo).svg is similar with File:iPhone 14 Plus wordmark.svg. Which do you like better? I'm not sure where you acquired the wordmarks from, but the letter-spacing is incorrect (it is especially apparent on the numerals of the wordmark vs. the numerals of the logo). I sourced the logos from the marketing kit for iPhone 14 which were in EPS files, and converted those to SVG directly in Adobe Illustrator. They also include the Apple logo, which is what is used in marketing materials for iPhone 14-family devices. I also used {{multiple image}} to include both logos since the article covers two different devices. I would not object to simply using the one logo on its own however. —Locke Coletc 16:48, 9 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Different release dates for selected regions?

[edit]

The user User:Here I am using this website added different release dates, claiming it would release on September 26, 2022 for iPhone 14 on Kuwait, Malaysia, and October 10 for iPhone 14 Plus on Austria, Denmark, Norway, Switzerland, Ireland, New Zealand, Poland, and Taiwan.

However, after research, Apple still states it will be released on September 23 for iPhone 14, and October 7 for iPhone 14 Plus after I researched on Apple Store web page on these countries. Even Apple did not state as such at their live presentation. If they release iPhone on different dates on selected regions, they would have announced it in the live presentation. Even secondary sources, like [1], [2], and [3] do not mention as such.

For reference, here's the Apple Store page for iPhone 14 on affected regions:

For iPhone 14 Plus:

I've therefore corrected it for the Plus, but it has been reverted by the same user, without giving any sources to the claim.

@Here I am using this website:, if you have any sources that claim different release date, please post it here. Stylez995 (talk) 21:35, 13 September 2022 (UTC) (Edit: grammar fix. --Stylez995 (talk) 21:38, 13 September 2022 (UTC))[reply]

I've gone ahead and reverted back to your last edit, and I honestly have to wonder if these dates do anything for our readers or are encyclopedic in value. Primary sources are fine and all, but unless there is some considerable secondary source coverage of dates I don't see how it's relevant beyond just a generic release date by region/area. —Locke Coletc 03:57, 15 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

iPhone 14 to 15

[edit]

Apparently, the biggest change between the iPhone 14 and iPhone 15 is the name. 14 to 15 2600:8804:1B80:4C90:24A1:DF55:2285:54DB (talk) 23:25, 26 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

2G?

[edit]

As of January 2022, Apple has directly shut down its 2G network, permanently. The iPhone 14 was released after this date, therefor the iPhone 14 does NOT support 2G. PerryPerryD Talk To Me 15:29, 1 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
