Current Events

[edit]

This page needs to be updated in light of the recent legislation changing this to a universal card for all vets. 96.253.89.110 (talk) 00:17, 30 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Comments

[edit]

I figured you guys could use a graphic to go with the page. ;) Morgan Phoenix (talk) 04:52, 27 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

They're good, thank you! Just wish we could get photocopies of typical county-level ID cards as are being issued in many states. --RayneVanDunem (talk) 16:05, 27 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Bias

[edit]

This article is biased, it presents the material in a manner that seems to indicate the US is the only place where such ID cards are found. You'd need to look at the TOC to find that any other country has one, since the introduction makes it a US-only affair. Everything prior to the countries sections is only applicable to the US. -- 76.65.128.222 (talk) 05:50, 29 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Canada Section

[edit]

I'm not sure why the Canadian section was deleted. The government website from which the graphics and text were pulled from clearly state on their "copyright" page that the everything on the site can be freely used. Topbookclub

I marked it for copy-vio as it is a straight-forward copy-and-paste of this. I believe this breaks wp:copypaste. If you can you provide a link to the "copyright" page you mention, you should be able to fix this. Hamish59 (talk) 08:31, 14 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Lot's of Problems on this page!

[edit]

For one, the VIC doesn't even exist anymore. We use the VHIC.

Secondly, you do not need 24 months minimum service to get a VHIC and veteran's health access. I was in less than six months and get full 100% coverage. Zero co-pay.

Lastly, Veterans Advantage is in no way related to Wounded Warrior. Veterans Advantage is just a business like any other. You pay a monthly fee for discounts on certain items. You do not even need to be a veteran to get a Veteran's Advantage card.

I would try to edit, but every time I do, wikimods go psycho! You edit it!

Someone keeps trying to promote a website

[edit]

I removed this bit of blatant advertising before:

https://en.wikipedia.org/enwiki/w/index.php?title=Veteran_identification_card&oldid=810231952#Veterans_Record_Card,_Verified_Service_Card

As you can see it is not even encyclopedic in tone. Astoundingly, the person put it back in. I reverted it again. It is a clear violation of WP:PROMOTION, particularly the section titled "Advertising, marketing or public relations". Since it's likely going to be added back can someone kindly tell the editor that it's not allowed here? Creedshouter (talk) 17:57, 3 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
