PEN1

[edit]

Why would peni1 be enemies with the mafia? *scratching head*. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 96.240.53.205 (talk) 03:36, 9 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Article needs to be rewritten possibly limit editing. Sickero (talk) 06:49, 11 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Are they enemies with the march on wallstreet movement? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.198.88.138 (talk) 07:52, 19 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I remember being locked up with a dude in juvenile hall named Nugget (if I remember correctly) from a crip gang (I don't remember which) who eventually became a member of PEN1. Does anyone know whatever happened to this guy? I was in County with him when he was outed from some of the other guys that were in Juv Hall with him. Just curious if anyone know whatever happened to him? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Damartin1503 (talkcontribs) 10:26, 12 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

"Punk Rock Gang"

[edit]

What is this supposed to mean? As opposed to Hip Hop Gangs and Southern Rock Gangs or what? Or do you have to own all the Ramones records to join the gang? Somebody please explain that or I'd better delete that characterisation.--JakobvS (talk) 23:52, 26 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Now that I've read the Wiki article and other reports ([[1]]; [[2]]) about Elgin James and Friends Stand United, I am still quite confused. James und the FSU were a violent group of music fans who crashed with right wing fans in concerts. With better organisation and the more and more systematical use of violence they gained many characteristics of a gang. But the reason they are called "Punk Rock" is that they simply started as fans of that music. There is no such background with Public Enemey No.1, or is it? Are there any sources that confirm that many Californian gangs just started as followers of the Californian hardcore punk scene, with the music being an integral part of the gangs organisation? Or can at least someone from California confirm that everyone knows about such developments and therefore names these gangs "punk rock"? It's just that no one calls the Crips a "hip hop gang" or the Brazilian Comando Vermelho a "baile funk gang", so I have my doubts about this characterisation.--JakobvS (talk) 10:26, 28 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Horay. Now, as of June 2012, all these questions are anwered, not here, but in the article itself. Thanks.--JakobvS (talk) 12:09, 18 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Public Enemy No. 1Public Enemy No. 1 (street gang) — This is not the primary usage of the term, so the disambiguation page Public Enemy No. 1 (disambiguation) should be moved to the primary location, and this particular street gang moved off. Per the recent AFD, it's also clear this gang shouldn't be at the primary location. 70.24.251.71 (talk) 04:36, 4 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
