Deletion or Merge

[edit]

This article really doesn't need to be existant. Almost every airline article now has the fleet table merged into the page. Information such as engine type, seat pitch, etc. does not need to be included therefore I am going to attempt to move/merge this page into the Malaysia Airlines article. Most information is already in the table in the article for Malaysia Airlines.--Golich17 18:39, 1 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

This page shouldn't be deleted or merged as it provides vital information on MH fleet. Do not compare only with AA, UA or BA, try looking at SQ, CX or TG. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Marcusaffleck (talkcontribs) 07:13, 2 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • Golich, don't bother discussing with Marcusaffleck. He wants everything SQ has on its wikipedia page to be the same for Malaysia Airlines. He even goes to the extent of lifting entire section of texts and putting it into MH's page. -le petit vagabond 14:47, 2 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
    • I have re-added the merge template. Marcusaffleck cannot remove the template simply because he/she does not want the article merged. It is NOT up soley to you and you have no good reason not to merge it. I will never base a page off of SQ, it is horribly layed-out, it is hard to read, and basically since certain editors like yourself become very stubborn, it is hard to even edit them without having the edit reverted. I would like other people's opinion regarding the merge. And by the way, I comprehensively edit many US Airlines as well as European Airlines and the majority of their pages are nicely layed out and free of rubbish, unlike Singapore Airlines.--Golich17 16:09, 6 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Subsidiary fleet

[edit]

Well, I think the page must have Subsidiary fleet like 11 Fokker 50 (3 to Firefly, 8 to MASwings. Then add the DHC. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Amir Hamzah 2008 (talkcontribs) 08:11, 4 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Is the subsidiary of Malaysia Airlines, part of MAS? No, in terms of operation, management etc they are of different entities, and therefore, should not be in this article.--Zack2007 (talk) 11:55, 4 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Fleet routes

[edit]

The Singapore Airlines fleet has the routes. Can someone add it's routes. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Amir Hamzah 2008 (talkcontribs) 02:01, 14 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Unreferenced information

[edit]

There is no reference given for the routes on which aircraft are flown. Also aircraft used on routes can and do change depending on operational requirements. A quick search for today's (10th Nov 2011) MH122 flight from SYD to KUL shows that MH are using a 777, while using this table a user would be led to believe it was a 747. I am proposing the removal of the 'Routes' column in the 'Current Passenger Fleet' table.Rubaisport (talk) 11:56, 10 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Please don’t remove the aircraft registration number

[edit]

It useful for reference. 2409:40D2:100D:F6FC:99D2:7DBE:14A6:A396 (talk) 15:15, 20 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Aircraft registrations are not normally listed as the are not noteworthy for an encyclopedia, they are lots of airliner enthusiast websites available if you want more detailed information on aircraft operated. MilborneOne (talk) 16:37, 21 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
