Hi neelesh,

Kindly lead light on why the last line is consistently being removed. Is it because of the "lewd" word? I think we can rephrase it, if you wish to Hi, I see you are removing the last line... 1. Her Kashmiri Pandit descent is an important fact 2. Her being the topic of many message boards too is necessary as it shows online activity on her name

No need to mention her Kashmiri origin. That has got nothing to do with her work. Same for the discussions on message boards.Arun.arumugam (talk) 18:48, 5 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:971d.jpg

[edit]

Image:971d.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Please remove "Razdan joined NDTV in 1999[3] and has since grown from being a news anchor to a senior journalist. Her father who is the Editor in Chief of the Press Trust of India has been instrumental in her rise at NDTV." The citation [3] "http://www.indiantelevision.com/special/y2k4/ndtv_team.htm" is one person's sarcastic account of an Indian News Channel and not a reliable source of facts.

Please remove " The Press Council of India has nominated her for the Most Biased Journalist of the Year Award 2013." A factual inaccuracy (and no citation). There is no award like this one.

Controversy

[edit]

I've removed the controversy section as it lacks authentic source to confirm the controversy. RouLong (talk) 08:11, 16 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I've removed it again because it seemed to add undue weight to a trivial event which doesn't seem to be relevant enough in the long run for her biography. -Ugog Nizdast (talk) 19:00, 14 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Scam

[edit]

Can the person who wrote "In June 2020, she was scammed with a job offer of an associate professor in journalism at Harvard University" please shed some light on how this was a "scam"? Seems this was really a "prank". Request the word "scammed" be replaced with "pranked". — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2607:FEA8:3EDF:6160:95B9:B9AD:CBFA:E99 (talk) 06:05, 19 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

See Job scam. --Walrus Ji (talk) 06:48, 19 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

"Scam" implies the conman gained monetarily. Nidhi Razdan did not lose anything monetarily. If she did, please enlighten and give references — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2607:FEA8:3EDF:6160:E496:2A78:2F74:58E4 (talk) 06:01, 26 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I edited that line to simply say in June 2020 she said she got an offer, which is followed by the line "On 15 January 2021, she announced on Twitter that she had been the victim of a sophisticated phishing attack". Which is accurate in terms of the sequence of events and what has been reported by her and other news outlets. Nolopassaro99 (talk) 07:43, 24 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Line on the phishing attack

[edit]

A lot of people editing lines on the phishing attack seem to be making the editorial decision that she was a victim of the attack. The fact of the matter is, she said (on Twitter) that she was the victim of a phishing attack. No one has confirmed it. So, shouldn't all lines on this incident accurately reflect this?Nolopassaro99 (talk) 07:47, 24 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I have edited the introduction section as well to reflect the same and added two articles from Indian Express and Hindustan Times which write "Nidhi Razdan says she was a victim of a phishing attack", and not that "she became a victim in June 2020" which is inaccurate and leans towards editorial bias.Nolopassaro99 (talk) 07:55, 24 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Overlapping information in Introduction and Career

[edit]

Much of the information in introduction and career is exactly the same. Can we trim the introduction to a summary and keep the information in career as it is. Kaamavats (talk) 00:10, 25 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
