Why does St. Christopher's Cathedral have a {{.}}?

@BrownHairedGirl, John of Reading, Grahamec, and Warairarepano&Guaicaipuro: It would appear that most/all other Australian Roman Catholic cathedrals, dedicated in honour of saints, are styled St Ranga, Sydney.
