The Maryam ministry is the Provincial Cabinet of Punjab, Pakistan headed by the present Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz. The oath-taking ceremony of Maryam was held on 25 February 2024.[1] The 18 cabinet ministers took oath on 06 March.[2]
Marriyum Aurangzeb was made a senior minister.[3] Reportedly, due to Maryam Nawaz's lack of parliamentary experience, Aurangzeb, instead of assigned to the federal, was transferred to the Punjab government to "assist" Maryam as PSO’ (personal staff officer) to handle the provincial government’s affairs. This also caused a stir among the PML-N MPs in Punjab Assembly.[4][5]
Reportedly, Maryam's father Nawaz Sharif, endorsed the selection of cabinet ministers.[6]
