All the Creatures Were Stirring is a 2018 Christmas horror comedy anthology film written and directed by Rebekah and David Ian McKendry.

The film was released on digital, video on demand and DVD on December 4, 2018 and on Blu-ray on January 8, 2019.

Plot summary

Max and Jenna goes in an awkward Christmas Eve date night in a small local theater and watch a stage play titled "All The Creatures Were Stirring". Each story shows the horrors that can happen during the Christmas season.

Production

On 2015, Rebekah McKendry with his spouse David Ian McKendry, wrote the script for the film and made it as their directorial debut.

Crazy Rich Asians star Constance Wu and Jonathan Kite from 2 Broke Girls were confirmed to star the film.[2] Other cast members include Amanda Fuller, Brea Grant, Graham Skipper and Stephanie Drake.

The filming date of the film is unknown.

On 2018, Rebekah McKendry shared the news that she directed the film while she was pregnant for nine months. Having said, "We shot the first two segments while I was nine months pregnant. Then we had to stop because it reached a point where I went a little bit past my due date. My doctor was like, 'Okay, you have to give birth this Wednesday, we're making an appointment.' My first call wasn't to my parents, it was to my producers, saying, 'Okay guys, we can't shoot next weekend, I have to go give birth.' We took three weeks off after I gave birth, and then we were right back on, and I brought my son to set with me."[3][4]

Reception

On the review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes, the film has an approval rating of 62%, based only in a few 13 reviews, with a rating average of 4.80/10.[6]
