I don't have access to a copy of this album, but I'm pretty sure it was actually recorded by an orchestra, and not a remix. -- Gyrofrog (talk) 13:51, 3 January 2006 (UTC)

• I do, and as far as I know, the bits of classical music were recorded specifically for this group of albums. I wouldn't be surprised if there was significant post-production work, but I don't think it qualifies as a "remix" in the usual sense of the term. Wahkeenah 02:25, 17 January 2006 (UTC)

Minor note - I don't know if this counts as a separate song on its own behalf or not, but the 1812 Overture quotes the (then) Russian anthem God Save the Tsar! near the end of the piece, the part sampled in "Hooked On Classics (Parts 1&2)" clearly has the "God Save the Tsar!" quote in there as well, so "God Save" is on "Hooked", albeit as part of another song. Perhaps there are 17½ pieces in "Hooked"?  ;) --Canuckguy (talk) 01:56, 24 November 2008 (UTC)

Hooked on Albums

I've added track listings for Hooked on Classics 2, Hooked on Classics 3 and Hooked on Rhythm & Classics to the main page. Details were sourced from the discography on Louis Clark's official website. I think the three Hooked's and R&C are the four 'original' albums - but it seems that various compilations have been released (and in some cases re-released) in amongst the original set. I've also excluded the other Hooked on titles, as I think the article should concentrate on the Hooked on Classics series, rather than the derivatives (Hooked on Queen, Abba, Beatles etc.)

To confuse matters even more, the RPO have also released an album called "Hooked on Classics 2000" with Paul Brooks holding the baton rather than Louis Clark, but containing original Hooked-on style tracks. Mittfh (talk) 10:16, 22 March 2008 (UTC)

Hooked on Phonics

I've removed the claim that this series suggested the title for "Hooked on Phonics." Besides being unsupported by reference, it also ignores that the phrase "hooked on" was in use long before these albums (just look at "Hooked on a Feeling," for one example).PacificBoy 01:11, 29 April 2011 (UTC)

The Classics in Rhythm

In my search for more information about this album, I've found that it was released in other counties as "Hooked on Rhythm & Classics" and simply "Rhythm & Classics" in the Netherlands. I think some fans are unofficially calling it "Hooked on Classics 5" --blm07 05:24, 25 October 2013 (UTC)

Tarantella Napoletana

The third section of Hooked on a Song is actually "La Danza" by Rossini. I don't think Rossini wrote "Tarantella Napoletana." "La Danza" is in the same time as "Tarantella Napoletana," but they are different pieces of music.
