The Battle of Arara Armenian soldiers distinguished themselves in the battle of Arara on that front, and their bravery was well recognized by the Supreme Commander.[3]

In September 1918 Turkish armies on the Palestine front crumbled before the British expeditionary forces which contained an American contingent commanded by a French colonel and French and Armenian officers.
