The sixth season of Bigg Boss, the Malayalam-language adaptation of the Indian reality television series produced by Endemol Shine India and Banijay, premiered on March 10, 2024, on Asianet. Viewers can also catch a 24/7 live stream on the Disney+ Hotstar OTT platform. Mohanlal returns for the sixth consecutive year as the show's host.[1][2][3]
On launch day, a diverse group of 19 contestants entered the Bigg Boss house. This year's mix includes celebrities, social media influencers, and two chosen commoners selected from the public.[4]
Production
Asianet unveiled the new Bigg Boss Malayalam season 6 logo and commoner audition promo on January 5, 2024. The first promo, featuring Mohanlal hinting at an unpredictable season, premiered on February 4.[5] The second promo, which premiered on February 11, features Mohanlal revealing that there will be four bedrooms in this season.[6]On February 25, Asianet announced the show's launch date as March 10th.[7] Subsequently, on March 3, a promo revealed the identities of the two participating commoners.[8] In the countdown promo, show host Mohanlal reveals the theme of this season's Bigg Boss, which is ഒന്ന് മാറ്റി പിടിച്ചാലോ! (Let's change things up!).[9]
Eye logo
The eye logo this season has a metallic blue hue with a yellowish golden strike, which is similar to the colors used in the logo for the first season of the show. The specific shade of blue used in the logo is a dark, navy blue with a hint of green. The golden strike, with its lighter yellow colour, has the look of the number '6', akin to a fiery thunder.[10]
House theme
The magnificent house was situated within the prestigious EVP Film City in Chennai. Designed by the visionary Rupali Bandawane, every aspect of this architectural marvel was meticulously crafted to reflect the grandeur expected of the Bigg Boss franchise. From the intricate Kerala craftsmanship to the lavish touch of gold leafing, each element was carefully chosen to imbue every corner with its own distinct personality.
The house seamlessly blends heritage with contemporary aesthetics, as seen in the harmonious fusion of prints, tonal colors, and traditional textures. With surprises around every corner, the opulent residence features majestic columns, dazzling chandeliers, and luxurious Persian carpets. Each of the four bedrooms is adorned with unique themes, adding to the house's allure and charm.[11]

| PowerTeam Challenge Task | Day 3-5:In Bigg Boss Season 6, the Power Team members will enjoy exclusive privileges, as the season revolves around the benefits offered by the Power Room. Each week, challenging tasks will determine the selection of Power Team members.
Members residing in other rooms will compete against each other, and the winner among them will challenge the current Power Team members. The victor will then become the Power Team for the following week. Kadakku Purathu (Task 1): In the activity area, each of the three teams will have the opportunity to present arguments for why they deserve to be selected for the Power Team over the other teams. The task will begin and end with a buzzer. Ultimately, the assigned judges should select a winning team. Truth or Fake (Task 2): For this task, photo cut-outs of random contestants will be placed around the activity area. Each cut-out will feature two statements about the contestants, with one containing incorrect information.
