Shariq Hassan (born 7 December 1994) is an Indian actor who predominantly appears in Tamil films and television shows. He played the role of villain in the 2016 film Pencil.[2][3]
Personal life
Shariq Hassan was born on 7 December 1994, in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. He is the son of Indian actor Riyaz Khan and actress Uma Riyaz Khan.[4] He attended A V Meiyappan Matriculation Higher Secondary School completing his school at 12 grade and later graduated high school.[5]
Career
Shariq debuted in the Tamil film Pencil (2016) in a villainous role.[6] He also made his debut in the TV industry in 2018 by joining Bigg Boss (Tamil season 2) as a contestant. He was evicted from the show on the 49th day.[7][8] In 2018, he signed up for the film Uggramm (still unreleased],[9] and in 2020, he signed up his next film titled as Jigiri Dosthu,[10] which released in December 2023.[11][12][13] In 2021 he participated in the dance competition BB Jodigal, which aired on Star Vijay alongside his duo Anitha Sampath, and won the show.[14] In 2022 he signed up for another film with Vishnu Vishal, Mohandas.[15]
