Incorrect/biased critique about systemd

A new entry claims that there is a direct relationship between systemd and the XZ backdoor. This is not the case, as systemd is not the reason for the vulnerability, but rather distributions like Debian that configured the service in a way, that made it susceptible.

You could just as well say, that .deb or .rpm are the reason for the vulnerability.

It was also instrumental in getting Linux distributions to adopt systemd and thus making the entire Linux platform more susceptible to severe security vulnerabilities such as the XZ Utils backdoor.
