Jeremiah Rangel, Born Jeremiah William Rangel on October 2nd 1977 In Blue Island, Illinois was the lead guitarist and sometimes lead singer for the punk band Mest until their breakup in February of 2006. -- Jeremiah Took his first guitar lessons at age 12.He is a vegetarian and has two brothers, Josh and Curt. Jeremiah Is of Mexican descent. -- Jeremiah fronted a band called The Cosmic Frogs before joining Me. He joined Mest in 1998,replacing frontman Tony Lovato's brother Steve Lovato when he left the band due to musical differences. Jeremiah first played guitar for Mest on the album Mo' Money Mo 40'z though a few songs have Steve Lovato on guitar. Jeremiah sometimes takes over the position of lead vocals in Mest; He sings lead vocals on the songs: Forget You, Richard Marxism, Night Alone, Your Promise, Return To Self Loathing, Shell Of Myself, Kiss Me Kill Me, Cursed, Tonight Will Last Forever,and Graveyard. He also does backing vocals on most songs, and sometimes alternates between parts with Tony like in the song Living Dead. Jeremiah was the lead guitarist in Mest until their break up in 2006.
