Van Calebs is an Ghanaian-born dancer, choreographer and promoter. He originated 'Base' a solo dance currently pictured in prints as Monument pieces for tourists in Ghana.[5][6][7]
Early life and education
Van Calebs studied classical ballet for several years before becoming a choreographer. He is an alumna of Wisconsin International University College, Silicon Valley International School and further studied at Adisadel College.[8][9]
Career
He is the founder of Van Calebs Walking Stick Foundation which is a non-profit organization set up to undertake philanthropic projects and Van Caleb empire, an African cultural dance promoter. He is also the volta regional coordinator for Asian African Chamber of Commerce.[10][8][2][11][12]
He originated "illuminate" dance by Sarkodie (rapper) a Ghanaian rapper and "Rock body" used by Wiyaala an afro-pop singer.[5][13][14]
Van has received several awards including for working for women's causes and the Spotlight Creative Arts and Business Awards.[15][16][17]
He trains dancers around the Africa including non-Africans on contemporary culture choreography dances through Van Calebs empire choreography center.[18][19][20][21][22][23]
