David Hanna (born 1967)[1] is an American historian.[2][3] He teaches history at New York's Stuyvesant High School.[4]

His first book, Knights of the Sea", about the capture of the HMS Boxer was praised in the Portland Press Herald as having been written "with dignity and skill".[5] His second book was Rendezvous With Death, about U.S. soldiers who served in the French Army during World War One.[6][7]

His father was the artist David Hanna.[8][9]
