Randall James "R.J." Gannon is a fictional character on the ABC soap opera, One Life to Live. He has been portrayed by Timothy Stickney since 1994, though the character was put on recurring status in 2006.
Template:Spoiler The wayward brother of Llanview, Pennsylvania District Attorney Hank Gannon, R.J. was a career criminal who later became a more-or-less respectable businessman. Though the brothers were often at odds with each other, they eventually settled their differences; R.J. also maintained a close relationship with Hank's ex-wife, Nora Hanen. He was also a loyal friend to Nora's rival Lindsay Rappaport, helping her out of many bad situations, and this friendship eventually blossomed into romance.
In 2002 it was revealed that Keri Reynolds was R.J.'s daughter by former love Liz Reynolds; R.J. and Liz rekindled their romance but she was later killed in 2003. A despondent Keri also died in 2003, and at first she was thought to have been murdered by boyfriend Antonio Vega. It was later determined that she had actually committed suicide, but R.J. still believed that Antonio had driven her to do it. This situation sparked a fierce custody battle between R.J. and Antonio for custody of Antonio and Keri's daughter, Jamie. Antonio was evetually awarded full custody, but R.J. remains a large presence in Jamie's life. In early 2007, he dumped Lindsay Rappaport as his girlfriend. R.J.'s most recent appearance was in April 2007 when he appeared in court to see Jamie be adopted by Jessica Buchanan, Antonio's wife.
