(en)titled

[edit]

Hi! Most of your edits seem to be changing "entitled" (in the sense of 'her next book was entitled Wuthering Heights') to "titled", with edit comments like "(en)titled misuse" or "Fixed incorrect use of (en)titled."

"Entitled" is perfectly grammatical in this case - it is perhaps more common in British English, but also perfectly acceptable in US English according to Merriam-Webster. Per MOS:RETAIN, you should not edit articles just to change from one variety of English to another.

I'm undoing your edits on British, Irish and Australian articles per MOS:ENGVAR; I'm leaving the US ones in place for now as it does seem that "titled" is preferred by most US sources, but I still wouldn't encourage this sort of editing even on US articles.

(Also, for what it's worth - while I agree with you that "...having myriad things..." sounds better than "...having a myriad of things...", the noun usage is actually the older form according to Merriam-Webster, and they're both acceptable according to most dictionaries; it's not a typo.)
