Aït Oussa

The Aït Oussa, is a large Sahrawi Arab tribe in Morocco.[1] They are a branch of the Tekna tribes[2]

The tribe numbers about 50,000 persons. The Aït Oussa tribes speak[3] Hassaniya Arabic, and are Muslims, mainly belonging to the Maliki school of Sunni Islam. The Aït Oussa Tribe is also notably known Among the sahrawis to be one of the most Pro Moroccan Tribes. As it had the most Known Generals and Soldiers in the Moroccan Army Pre-1975 and During the Sahara War. Aït Oussa People had also the most connections to the Alawi Dynasty Of Morocco.
