Kingswinford and South Staffordshire is a proposed constituency of the House of Commons in the UK Parliament. Further to the completion of the 2023 Periodic Review of Westminster constituencies, it will first be contested at the next general election.[1] The constituency name refers to town of Kingswinford and the South Staffordshire District.[2]
Boundaries
The constituency will be composed of the following (as they existed on 1 December 2020):
- The Metropolitan Borough of Dudley wards of: Kingswinford North and Wall Heath; Kingswinford South; Wordsley.
- The District of South Staffordshire wards of: Bilbrook; Codsall North; Codsall South; Himley and Swindon; Kinver; Pattingham and Patshull; Perton Dippons; Perton East; Perton Lakeside; Trysull and Seisdon; Wombourne North and Lower Penn; Wombourne South East; Wombourne South West.[3]
It will contain the following parts:[4]
- The majority of the current South Staffordshire constituency, including the communities of Codsall, Perton and Wombourne
- Kingswinford and Wordsley from the Dudley South constituency (to be abolished)
Following a local government boundary review in South Staffordshire which came into effect in May 2023,[5][6] the constituency will now comprise the following from the next general election:
- The Metropolitan Borough of Dudley wards of: Kingswinford North and Wall Heath; Kingswinford South; Wordsley.
- The District of South Staffordshire wards of: Bilbrook; Codsall; Himley & Swindon; Kinver & Enville; Pattingham, Trysull, Bobbington & Lower Penn; Perton East; Perton Lakeside; Perton Wrottesley; Wombourne North; Wombourne South.[4]
