List of South Park episodes
The following is an episode list for the Comedy Central animated television series South Park. The series has its roots in 1992 when Trey Parker and Matt Stone created the animated short The Spirit of Christmas (Jesus vs. Frosty), while in college. The series began on August 13, 1997, and started its 11th season on March 7, 2007. It has been guaranteed by Comedy Central that the series will reach its 12th season, and possibly further seasons beyond that. There have been 159 episodes of South Park aired.
Currently, the first nine seasons are available on Region 1 (US) DVD. Region 2 (Europe) has released the first four on DVD (note: these differ from the Region 1 versions) as well as selling episodes in different volumes. The feature film South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut premiered during the third season on June 30, 1999.
This list is ordered by episodes' air dates. This is because of a reference made in episode 802 to a previous event in episode 804, and the positioning of the episode celebrating 100 episodes does not fit in production order.
Two polls have been held on the Comedy Central website for fans to choose their favorite episodes to be shown in TV marathons. The marathons were later shown worldwide.
