Review
Tru is relieved that she is not alone with this gift she has been given. She lets Davis know that she will have to talk to Jack about it soon. Davis, as always, warns her that he is suspicious of Jack’s motives and warns her not to get her hopes up. On a street corner, a man has a heart attack and comes into the morgue. Tru finally meets Randall and Lindsey informs her that he has proposed to her, which she answers no to after thinking about it. Tru runs into Luc in the hallway and he tells her that the number six bus collided with a dump truck. He is unaware of any injuries as of yet. Tru sends Davis out of the examining room in order ofr her to talk to Jack. As they realize they both have a similar gift, they go for a drink to talk further about it. Jack tells Tru that he got his gift after waking up from a near death experience. Jack appears to be surprised to find out that Tru’s mom had the same gift and he expresses his doubts about if what Tru is doing is for the better. Davis explains to her the ripple effect of how many lives are touched by the one person Tru saves as a way to explain the consequences Jack was previously talking about. As Jack and Tru go tot leave the examining room, the body says “wait” and they both respond knowing that the day is about to rewind.
This time when Tru wakes up she calls Jack, not Davis for help. Jack gives her the wrong corner of where he picked up the man and they are too late to save him. Davis is very upset by this and it affirms his thoughts that Jack is up to no good. In defense of Jack, Tru chimes in that the doctor had a massive heart attack and that they would not have been able to save him anyway, but he did say “save them”. Tru goes on a mission to find out who “they” are; Jack tags along. First stop, his son’s place. The son refuses to claim the body. Next they go to his office to inform them of the tragedy. At the front desk is an irate patient. The office manager tells Jack and Tru about a student, Lilly, that the Doctor was tutoring. They run off to meet her in a diner. After they talk with her, she leaves a book behind to catch the number six bus. Tru remembers that is the bus in the accident and Jack jumps in front of it to stop the accident. Tru offers to help the office manager get everything ready for the funeral. While at the office, Tru discovers that a patient who was misdiagnosed with terminal cancer, was really having a miscarriage. In her rush to save the person, she calls Jack and remembers that he brought in a suicide to the morgue the day before. She questions him as to why he said nothing when they saw the patient in the office and he hangs up on her. At the womans house, Jack shows up and tries to stop Tru. She gets away from his grip only to hear him mumble, “ I won’t stop you……..this time.” Harry checks out Randall and finds out that he is the real deal and goes to Lindsey’s apartment to tell her to say yes. At the doctor’s house, Lilly stops by and asks Grace if she liked the gardenias. She explains that the doctor shoes them because they symbolize unspoken love. Tru realizes that the doctor touched so many lives and she is saving them, one by one. Tru asks the son to come over to sign some papers as a trick. When he enters his fathers office, he sees all of his paintings there. He realizes that his father really did love him and Grace explains he wanted to be close to him and that was the only way he knew how. Back at the morgue, Davis is acting weird and still doubting Jack. He tells Tru that he may have stopped the accident, but no one knows if anyone died in it the day before. Tru then tells Davis that Jack tried to stop her. She realized that Davis was right. Davis explains to her that it is scientific fact that every force has an equal opposing force. Therefore, if Tru saves lives, Jack takes them. [1]
