Craig Cathcart (born 6 February 1989, in Belfast, County Antrim) is a Northern Ireland footballer. He is currently Manchester United's youth team captain.

Cathcart is a traditional right-footed centre-half possessing strong tackling and aerial abilities. He signed trainee terms at Manchester United in July 2005 after being coveted by a host of clubs including Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester City and Rangers.

He has represented Northern Ireland at Under-17 and Under-19 level and received his first call-up to the Manchester United senior squad for the 6th Round FA Cup replay with Middlesbrough on 19th March 2007.

After Nemanja Vidic's injury, on 31 March 2007, Craig was promoted to the first team squad as cover. He was also an unused substitute in Manchester United's 7-1 win against AS Roma in The Champions League, and again for the FA Cup semi-final victory over Watford F.C four days later.
