BLS International is an Indian an online visa application centre headquartered in New Delhi. [1] [2] It was founded in 2005.[3]

History

  • BLS International secured its first visa processing contract from the Portuguese Embassy in Delhi in 2005.[4]
  • Commenced operations for the Embassies of Austria, Belgium, Greece, and Tunisia in India in 2006-07.
  • In 2008-10, BLS International started operations for the Embassy of India in Spain, Kuwait, Sudan, and Russia.
  • BLS International, in 2011, started VACs for the Indian Embassy in UAE along with other Indian missions in SEA.
  • In 2012, the company commenced operations for the Indian Embassy in Saudi Arabia and Singapore.
  • BLS International initiated foreign missions for European Union countries in 2013.
  • The company added 7 Indian missions abroad, including high-volume locations in the US & Canada.
  • In December 2016, the company signed a global visa outsourcing contract worth €175 million with Spain MAEC (Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation — Spain).[5]
  • The company was awarded the e-governance project by the Punjab State Government in India in May 2016 to operate and manage 2147 Seva Kendras and provide 223 citizen-centric services like death, birth certificates, arms licences, and permits as defined under the Punjab Right to Services Act, 2011.[6]
  • BLS International also provides citizen services to Afghan nationals in UAE, Kuwait, Oman, Bahrain, and Qatar since June 2017 and in Saudi Arabia since September 2017. This is under the consular service contract with the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan.[7][8][9][10]

Listing

The company's equity shares are listed on the National Stock Exchange (NSE), the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and Metropolitan Stock Exchange (MSEI).[11]

Acquisition

On 8 June, BLS agreed to acquire 100% equity shares of ZMPL for an equity consideration of 1.2 billion (US$14 million), including an entire stake of 63.94% held by Anurag Gupta (main promoter).[12]
