Paul Scheer was born on January 31st, 1976 in New Hyde Park, New York. He currently can be seen on MTV's newest comedy show, "Human Giant" which he created and stars in along with Aziz Ansari, Rob Huebel, and Jason Woliner. He is a regular on VH1’s Best Week Ever and his films include School for Scoundrels with Billy Bob Thornton, the upcoming Sean William Scott comedy Trainwreck, Watching the Detectives with Cillian Murphy, The Onion Movie, and the 2004 SXSW Audience Award Winner Blackballed: The Bobby Dukes Story. He recently appeared with Jeff Goldblum in the Frank Darbont-directed NBC drama Raines.

In 1995, Scheer became a member of New York City's longest running Off-Broadway comedy show, Chicago City Limits. In 1998 Paul joined the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater in New York City where he performed Sketch and Improvisation with Respecto Montalban, who won an ECNY Award for "Best Improv Show" and were called "Funny and incredibly talented” by Fox’s Good Day New York. Respecto finished their New York tenure with a six-month sold-out run of a political satire stage show directed by Adam McKay (director/writer of Anchorman). During that time, Scheer also created/starred in "Automatic Vaudeville" at the Ars Nova Theater, which the Hollywood Reporter called "one of the top five shows in the country."

Scheer is currently based in Los Angeles. He is a regular performer at Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre (UCBTLA), where he currently performs in MYSPACE, an improvised show based on audience member's profiles. The show was named the "Best Improv Show" by LA Magazine and has been profiled on Good Morning America.

Paul is also a frequent guest commentator on The Today Show and has made numerous appearances on Late Night with Conan O’Brien and Weekends at the D.L.

He has created and produced a show for TBS with Whoopi Goldberg and a wrote sitcom for HBO. In addition he has written and performed on Comedy Central’s Crossballs, The WB’s Make My Day, CNBC’s McEnroe Show, as well as Impostor and Movie Junky on TBS.

In 2006 Variety named Scheer one of the "Top 10 Comics to Watch" and AP Magazine hailed as one of their favorite comedians.
