Rosie Wrighting is a British politician who has been the Labour Member of Parliament for Kettering since July 2024, following the UK general election.[2] [3]

Background

Wrighting grew up in Geddington and went to Bishop Stopford School in Kettering and Montsaye Academy in Rothwell.

Wrighting joined the Labour Party in 2020, aged 22. In an interview with The Telegraph, Wrighting described wanting more opportunities for people in her community as the motivation for standing as a prospective parliamentary candidate for Labour, specifically on housing and economic security.[4]

In Parliament, Wrighting has said she wants to focus on improving access to mental health services, including for young people.[4]

Before entering Parliament, Wrighting worked in Topshop.[5] She currently lives at home with her mother.[5]
