Michael J. Ramone (born July 11, 1961) is an American politician from the state of Delaware. A member of the Republican Party, Ramone was elected to the Delaware House of Representatives in 2008.[1]
In 2024, Ramone announced that he would not run for reelection, and instead would run for governor of Delaware in the 2024 election.[2]
Businesses
Ramone is the chief executive officer of D-Fit and D-Fit Plus, formerly Delaware Swim & Fitness, a gym in northern Delaware. Ramone founded, once coached at, and still owns Delaware Swim Team, a year-round competitive swim team in USA Swimming, which utilizes his D-Fit facilities and rents from local pools in northern Delaware. Ramone also owns Aquatic Management Systems and BC Communities.[3]

- In 2008, Ramone won the general election against Democratic candidate Patricia Creedon.[4]
- In 2010, Ramone won the general election unopposed.[5]
- In 2012, Ramone won the general election unopposed.[6]
- In 2014, Ramone won the general election against Green candidate David A. McCorquodale.[7]
- In 2016, Ramone won a rematch against McCorquodale in the general election.[8]
- In 2018, Ramone won the general election against Democratic candidate Stephanie Barry.[9]
- In 2020, Ramone won the general election against Democratic candidate Stephanie Barry.[10]
- In the 2022 general election, Ramone defeated Democratic candidate Dr. Frank Burns by a total of 35 votes where 8,725 votes were cast.[11]
