Flood Plain

I don't understand all the comments in the media about the 2013 flood. The West Village didn't flood in 2013. All the flooding took place further east.96.51.16.28 (talk) 22:23, 18 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

It's because everyone is hyper sensitive to flooding right now, and one expert took advantage of that by decrying the risk if we should have an event worse than a "once in five hundred years" flood. Or, in short, because the media knows it will get people reading their stories. Resolute 14:20, 19 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Billionaire status not hearsay, citations below

Hi User:Rford77 (User Talk:Rford77) regarding your revision of CalgaryNEXT on 30 January 2016 where you removed (Eliminated "billionaires" from text as respective financial position is hearsay.)

There are sources for their billionaire status in these articles on the page and they have been added to the lede. Thanks for drawing attention to that.Oceanflynn (talk) 16:49, 10 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Journalist Jason Markusoff's article includes a photo of Edwards, Riddell and Markin with sources listed reliable sources for his billionaire and almost-billionaire claims: Forbes and Alberta Venture Magazine so I have reverted that change.

Scotia Place (Calgary)Scotia Place – As the current name of a major sporting arena in one of North America's "Big Four" someone searching for Scotia Place is much more likely to be looking for this arena, rather than a lightly notable office building in which Scotiabank was previously a tenant IceBergYYC (talk) 20:13, 22 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
