Hello, JMCraig17,

You wrote a very complex article after being an editor for only 4 days which is rather astonishing. Did you edit Wikipedia with a previous account? Do you have other accounts on this project? If you do have multiple accounts, please disclose them on your User pages so that you do not get mistaken for a sockpuppet which can result in a loss of editing privileges. Also, if you are being compensated for your work here, please review Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure and post the appropriate disclosures on your User page as undisclosed paid editing can also lead to a block.

If you have any questions about this--using multiple accounts or paid editing--please bring them to the Teahouse. Thank you very much. Liz Read! Talk! 22:13, 20 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I have edited Wikipedia during my undergraduate studies, but that account was tied to an academic email which I can no longer access, so there's little need to attribute my current work to it. My current Wikipedia account is wholly my own, and the article I recently published was not written for any financial compensation.
Dr. Kumar is a friend and colleague and it seemed incongruous to me that he lacked a Wikipedia page which his potential collaborators and future students could peruse. I made a page for him purely recreationally.
Please let me know if any further input is needed to ensure my account isn't flagged in any way. 155.247.53.156 (talk) 22:20, 20 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hi JMCraig17! I noticed that you recently marked an edit as minor that may not have been. "Minor edit" has a very specific definition on Wikipedia—it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not a minor edit, even if it only concerns a single word. Please see Help:Minor edit for more information. Thank you. Managing a conflict of interest

[edit]

Information icon Hello, JMCraig17. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page Sudhir Kumar (Researcher), you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Kj cheetham (talk) 18:03, 21 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Sudhir Kumar (researcher) moved to draftspace

[edit]

Thanks for your contributions to Sudhir Kumar (researcher). Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it is promotional and reads like an advertisement and you may have a possible Conflict of Interest. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. signed, Rosguill talk 16:40, 24 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
