Quick question

Hi CycloneYoris :) Re this RfD, would you mind explaining how you determined that the page was created in error? I'm only asking as the page's logs make it seem like there might have been an article behind the redirect, that may have been BLARed and pointed at Yoasobi discography. To be clear, I'm not meaning to cast doubt on what you've said; it's just that I don't have much information to go off, given I didn't see the history before it was deleted!

All the best, ‍—‍a smart kitten[meow] 11:28, 5 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi A smart kitten. Sorry for not replying sooner. The title of the redirect was written in quotations (which was a mistake, according to the nom at the linked RfD). A web search also shows the title of the song without quotations, and that's how I came to the conclusion that the redirect was created in error. I honestly didn't see the article that was created originally at that title; therefore, I have no opinion on the matter, but I suggest asking the deleting admin if they would consider restoring the deleted content. CycloneYoris talk! 21:37, 5 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Don't worry about not replying sooner :) Thanks for the info, I'll leave a message on their talk. Best, ‍—‍a smart kitten[meow] 21:46, 5 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Cooldudeseven7! The draft appears to be in decent shape IMO, and I strongly encourage you to submit it again for review. Though I also recommend asking the editor that declined the previous submission, since I don't have much experience as an AfC reviewer myself. CycloneYoris talk! 20:37, 24 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
This is odd: I just sent a message to a IP address and I keep getting these notifications saying I vandalized wikipedia, even though I never edited that page? These are discussions from OTHER pages, and also from other Users!

Hello. I just started writing the article about 5 minutes ago, why the speedy deletion? Also, this is not my first article here, I have published over 7 articles already. Thanks Cece GFI (talk) 09:42, 9 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Cece GFI: I've moved the page to draftspace where you can continue working on it. The page is not suitable for mainspace since notability needs to be established first. CycloneYoris talk! 09:49, 9 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@CycloneYoris okay. Thank you Cece GFI (talk) 10:23, 9 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hey! I recently have a question, and decided to come to you because you are a pretty good wikipedia editor. Can we create pages on wikipedia under a different like page subdomain? Eg. Official wikipedia pages are Wikipedia: and user pages are User: Can we create our own, to store our own stuff, such as Example:Page ? Cooldudeseven7 (talk) 00:33, 31 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Cooldudeseven7: Nope, just under the User: prefix AFAIA, where you can create any page that is compatible with the Wikipedia project per WP:USERPAGES. CycloneYoris talk! 04:23, 31 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
So, we cannot make our own "subdomains?" And also, How do you get rollback rights? The page for Nothing gets vandalized a LOT. Cooldudeseven7 (talk) 12:17, 31 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Cooldudeseven7: Nope, subdomains are not allowed per WP:NOTWEBHOST. You can go ahead and request rollback rights at Wikipedia:Requests for permissions/Rollback, or you can download the Twinkle gadget on your Preferences tab and use the rollback function that comes with it. New page tagging

Hello there, I hope you are having a good day. I noticed you tagged Christian Diego Di Sanzo with maintenance tags just seven minutes after it was created. Could you consider waiting for an hour before reviewing or tagging any article? This gives the creator some time to improve it. Thanks! – DreamRimmer (talk) 04:07, 13 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, I see...

Hello, CycloneYoris I am new at this whole Wikipedia thing, but I saw how outdated the Furry Fandom page was, and thought "Oh,I should help update it! I'm a fellow furry that would love to help!" So I created an account and went to work. I made a few mess-ups, so I understand those, but I even cited evidence for the Anthrocon thing IN THE TEXT. I know, I know, I'm kinda being a little more mean than I should, but AT LEAST let me do the next change I will do after this message is sent. (Meaning I will do the whole Anthrocon thing, but I will add the ref stuff too) Dragola.WIKI (talk) 18:13, 18 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

OMG, hold up. I don't know If it was the right or wrong article, because it said you changed things on Furry Fandom, but then you said Furry convention, so don't take it personally because I could be wrong! Dragola.WIKI (talk) 18:49, 18 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Please check

Hello CycloneYoris,You put my article Milan Mach (actor)in draft for “not having sources”, I have just put three sources for it. I had put a source for this article, but another editor, who did me a favor by doing some cleaning on it, also deleted the source. Originally this article was in Czech wiki without any source and I found sources myself. Please check, thanks. Taraa Scott (talk) 16:24, 31 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Taraa Scott, the article needs a bit more work before moving back to mainspace, in my opinion. More sources need to be added in order to establish notability. You can always submit the article for review and ask for a second opinion if you feel inclined to do so. CycloneYoris talk! 20:35, 31 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Please Restore

Hello, nice to meet you. Can the wiki about Dancing Girl (China) be restored? I hope you can review it as soon as possible. Thank you very much. 清风与明月 (talk) 13:28, 1 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Because Geji's wiki requires the wiki content to be split. The dancing girl needs to be set up as a separate wiki. Now there is no complete wiki for the dancing girl, which makes it impossible to complete Geji's wiki. I hope you can restore this wiki. If the title is not good, please help modify the wiki title. Thank you. 清风与明月 (talk) 16:41, 1 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
You can continue to edit the draft at Draft:Dancing girl (profession) and then move it back to mainspace when ready. CycloneYoris talk! 09:01, 2 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Page tagging

Hello, I noticed your addition to Derrick Jaxn, in which you added the {{BLP sources}} tag. I'm confused as to what specifically is needing sources. Roasted (talk) 20:14, 2 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Further coverage from reliable sources would be appreciated, as to clearly establish the subject's notability. CycloneYoris talk! 20:19, 2 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I believe that a notability tag would fit better. All statements are covered by the used sources. Roasted (talk) 04:01, 3 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Sonya Hussyn

Hello Yoris

Hope you are doing well. I saw you reverted some changes made by two members of the team of Sonya. Sonya reached out to me and flagged the wrong date of birth she has on Wikipedia. I am a journalist and have been occasionally contributing to Wikipedia for specific subjects.

Since you have highlighted and reverted the changes. Should I share her ID card to verify the date of birth and maybe you can amend it. I don't mind doing but since you have taken action maybe you can go for it.

Her date of birth according to her ID card is 15 July 1996. TahirImran (talk) 23:27, 22 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@TahirImran: Please see WP:DOB. You need to provide a reliable source which confirms her birth date. There is absolutely no need to share any of the subject's personal information, just a reliable source is all you need. See WP:Reliable sources and WP:Verifiability for further information. Draftification of Draft:John Anthony Roberts

Hi, why did you draftify this page citing "no sources" as a reason, while the page clearly had a reference to a biographical entry in the National Portrait Gallery? I unfortunately recreated the page because I was editing it while you moved it to draft space... Broc (talk) 20:39, 1 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Broc: Whoops, sorry about that! I actually intended to choose the option of "more sources" since the page only had one source; that's the reason why I immediately amended the message I left on the author's talk page, as you can see here. CycloneYoris talk! 21:11, 1 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry abou that. Clear consensus

Going back to a previous discussion where you used the term "clear consensus" multiple times (and "clear enough" consensus too, implying there are different levels of "clear"), but I never got an answer as to what "clear consensus" meant to you, and I didn't pursue that discussion further, or the RfD close (as your reaction had turned hostile), I'm back to discussing the term with Thryduulf‎ who has used the phrase "active consensus" and says it is similar to "clear consensus". I have been trying to understand if the terms are a manner of speech, or stemming from Wiki guidelines. What I get from Google is that (at least for "active consensus") it means 100% support and 0% opposition (which was not the case at that RfD, hence my questions at the time about Can you define it, or describe what it means to you?). @Jay: I guess it all depends on the discussion that is being evaluated, and there is really no clear-cut answer that I can provide. In my case, I do admit that it is more of a manner of speech than anything else, though I have never used the term "active consensus" if I remember correctly. What I do notice when closing a discussion is that there has to be a general agreement among participants to perform some sort of action (or lack thereof as when closing "keep"), and that the opposition needs to be weak or not fully supported by the majority of those who are !voting. Milan Mach (actor)

Hello CycloneYoris, I have done some changes on milan-mach, since you put it in draft. I hope it is oK now. Please check. I actually wish to learn more about the notability issue, therefore I appreciate if you explain, just in a few words, what the article missed in the first place. Thank you. Taraa Scott (talk) 12:08, 18 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Taraa Scott. The draft looks much better now and I strongly encourage you to submit it for review. I moved the page to draftspace because it did not have any sources, but I see that you've fixed that now and it looks a lot better than it did before. Your A1 CSD nominations

Hello, CycloneYoris. This is a reminder to be more careful with speedy deletion nominations, following up on a conversation we had in October 2023. I recently declined your A1 CSD nomination for 2025 in hip hop music and reviewed the A1s you tagged this month. Pages like Saujanya Rape and Murder Case, Paquin Tower, and Aral FC should not have been tagged as such because if any information in the title or on the page, including links, allows an editor to find further information, A1 is not appropriate. A quick search online would have given up more information; please carefully review the criterion again.

I hate to point this out, but one of the criteria for new page reviewer revocation is "demonstrat[ing] a pattern of failing to exercise sufficient care when reviewing pages". From what I've seen, you've been receptive to feedback, so I don't want to do that, but this is a warning that revocation may occur if you continue carrying out the same mistakes after being reminded. Thank you, Sdrqaz (talk) 05:27, 27 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Sdrqaz. Thank you for the reminder. It seems that I should refrain from tagging articles with that criterion, since it has given me enough headaches from the start. I will therefore review the criterion carefully once more, and will exercise caution before using it. Thanks again. CycloneYoris talk! 06:06, 27 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

The removal of my page, SuperMarvinLogan

Hello CycloneYarris! I’m just here to ask why you asked for a speedy deletion on my page. I just want an answer. You seem like a pretty nice person from reading all of your other comments. Thank you! Also if I don’t like your reasoning whatsoever may I request for my page to be able to stay? Angelzaed (talk) 22:06, 29 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Angelzaed. You did not provide any sources, and because of this, the subject you are writing about does not seem to meet notability guidelines. I suggest creating the article in draftspace at Draft:SuperMarvinLogan, and wait for another editor to review it and give you a second opinion. CycloneYoris talk! 22:16, 29 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Oh thank you so much for responding! Thank you for letting me know. Angelzaed (talk) 22:17, 29 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
