ArbCom 2023 Elections voter message
Hello! Voting in the 2023 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 11 December 2023. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.
The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
If you wish to participate in the 2023 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}}

Final warning regarding topic ban violation
Second Skin, last October you were topic banned from all pages and discussions relating to music genres per this discussion, a discussion in which you participated. You were informed of the enactment of the topic ban here on your talk page. The topic ban was logged at Wikipedia:Editing_restrictions. There is no possible way that it can be construed that you were unaware of this topic ban.
Your recent edits to Witch house (genre) constitute a clear, unequivocal violation of this topic ban. There are a number of people at the current ongoing WP:AN/I discussion who concur this was a clear violation.
This is a final warning. If you violate your topic ban again, you will be blocked, whether by me or another uninvolved administrator. It is highly likely there will be no further discussion and no further warnings to halt your violations. Either you abide by your topic ban, or you will be blocked.
If you have any questions about this, or are in any way unclear about your topic ban, then ASK before conducting any further edits that might, broadly construed, constitute a violation of your topic ban. If you persist as you have been without amending your behavior, you will be blocked. I hope I've been clear. If not, then by all means ask. You've been here 10+ years and made over 11k edits. Don't screw it up now. Thank you, --Hammersoft (talk) 15:59, 23 May 2024 (UTC)

Request reason:
I just got a warning above so why am I being blocked after doing literally nothing since then lol Second Skin (talk) 20:09, 28 May 2024 (UTC)
Decline reason:
Procedural decline as this is not an unblock request. You have been blocked after discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators'_noticeboard/Incidents#User:Second_Skin_violating_topic_ban_and_other_issues, reading this will explain what you should do next. Black Kite (talk) 20:31, 28 May 2024 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
Suggestion/Comment
The reason for your block is because seven members of the community supported the proposal for a temporary indef, as seen in the discussion. So the only way to get unblocked, I believe, is to follow Cullen328 and Ad Orientem's advice - Recommendation: Admit your violation and promise to never repeat it. Keep your promise.
and Acknowledge your mistakes, and please give us unequivocal assurances that you will respect the topic ban and be civil in your interactions with other editors going forward.
If I could opine further, I wouldn't focus on making excuses for the violation of the topic ban, but rather, focus on admitting it was a violation and explain in a convincing manner how you will not do it again. Hope this helps. Isaidnoway (talk) 17:39, 30 May 2024 (UTC)
Block evasion with Nevada IPs
Second Skin has been evading their block by using IPs from Pahrump, Nevada, such as Special:Contributions/158.140.61.7 today, Special:Contributions/158.140.53.39 in July, and Special:Contributions/158.140.53.34 from 2023 (before the indef block) through June 2024. Earlier in 2023, Special:Contributions/158.140.61.60 was active, getting blocked in May. I recommend a rangeblock of Special:Contributions/158.140.48.0/20, because smaller ranges don't get every involved IP.
Second Skin and these IPs have the same abusive style in their edit summaries, especially in calling others "idiot".[1][2][3][4][5][6] There's also "retard".[7][8][9] They share an interest in the genre details of extreme metal topics. Binksternet (talk) 20:36, 4 August 2024 (UTC)
