Usage

[edit]

This is a template used to create documentation for Template:WIR#I created/improved an article during a certain meetup. Which template should I use?. It has four parameters

For example:

{{WIR-doc |number = 1 |date = 4–6 September 2015 |edit-a-thon = Asian Pacific American Women |alt = WIR-APA 2015}}

will create the corresponding line in the table

Meetup Date Edit-a-thon Template Alternative

Uses of this template will automatically be replaced with {{WikiProject Women in Red}}.

Please see Template:WikiProject Women in Red for full instructions.

Using as a placeholder

[edit]

You can use the template as a placeholder for future edit-a-thon.

{{WIR-doc |number = 75 |date = |edit-a-thon = }}

If WP:WikiProject Women in Red/Meetup/75 didn't exist, nothing would be displayed in the table. However, if Meetup #75 had just been created, and not yet documented, you'd have something like this in the documentation:

Meetup Date Edit-a-thon Template Alternative

Uses of this template will automatically be replaced with {{WikiProject Women in Red}}.

Please see Template:WikiProject Women in Red for full instructions.

With additional links to create {{WIR-75}} and {{WIR-75/doc}} had they not been created yet.
