Confusion over the title

[edit]

What was really the title of "The Hobby Horse"? Within a few lines there is: Hobby Horse; The Hobby Horse; Century Guild Hobby Horse (beneath the figure) or The Century Guild Hobby Horse?? Based on the figure, perhaps the title should be Century Guild Hobby Horse. (The The is smaller than the Century....). DSF123456 (talk) 17:43, 27 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

MYoung, you are doing good work here. good on you for finding the image and adding in the infobox. be careful about little glitches like the bit of code peeking through at the top of the infobox and the funny bordered bit at the bottom of the article. keep going!--Theredproject (talk) 00:51, 16 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Suggestions

[edit]

Under the history section, maybe it would be a good idea to include some of the articles, illustrations or graphics of the contributor's to the hobby horse. Adding brief images of the contributor's themselves might be a good idea too. Some citation organization - in the overview/design and legacy sections, you don't need to include 'according to meggs history...". You can just include the ref tag at the end of the sentence to indicate the citation, the source is already at the bottom of the page (reference). The weird text box under legacy should be removed and the quote just added to the end of the first paragraph. Again, including some images of wood block art, paintings, etc that were showcased in the magazine under these sections can help as well. Since it is mentioned that the hobby horse is heavily connected to the arts and crafts movement, maybe you should include some more information on that era too and how/why it is connected. --Rl081289 (talk) 17:11, 16 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
