Jigra (transl. Courage) is an upcoming Indian Hindi-language action thriller film directed and written by Vasan Bala. Produced by Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, Soumen Mishra and Alia Bhatt under Dharma Productions and Eternal Sunshine Productions, it stars Bhatt and Vedang Raina.
It is scheduled for a theatrical release on 11 October 2024.[1]
Synopsis
Jigra is a tale of a sister who will go to extreme lengths to protect her brother.[2]

Production
The film was announced in September 2023.[3] Alia Bhatt and Vedang Raina were cast as the leads.[4] Principal photography commenced by August 2021.[5] In November 2023, Aditya Nanda and Sobhita Dhulipala joined the cast of the film.[6][7] The film was mainly shot in Mumbai[8] and Singapore[9] before wrapping in February 2024.[10]

Theatrical
The film was initially scheduled to release on 27 September 2024,[11] but was later moved to 11 October 2024.[12]
Home Media
The film's streaming rights were acquired by Netflix and it will be released after its theatrical run.[13]
