≈Tulkolahten≈≈talk≈ 13:06, 20 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I've found this: [4], on the google I've found he was Czechoslovak or Slovak footballer. If he represented Czechoslovakia he had to have Czechoslovakian passport and in the 1976 there was no possibility to switch country. We assume he was hungarian nationality from its name, which is probably right. There was a recent edit war between two editors one wrote he was Slovak and second wrote he was Hungarian. I think the compromise should be he was Czechoslovak of hungarian nationality (supported by sources). Please discuss. ≈Tulkolahten≈≈talk≈ 00:21, 21 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • first name koloman, this is a slovak name, kálman would be the hungarian variant, family name is gögh, that is german, he is born in kladno (czech/german?), i self wrote first, that he is hungarian from slovakia, but that is not ok, i have this information from a good friend from gögh. but without sources is this information not relevant. we have a person, that could be czech, german, slovak, hungarian, from austria. sure is only, he played for czechoslovakia and lived in today slovakia. for another statement please sources. --Mt7 09:09, 21 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Please, no personal attack, if I say he is probably not Hungarian it is not schizofreniac, but only Wikipedia:No original research.--Mt7 09:56, 21 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

new facts

thanks kelovy for foto - an actual and appropriate source, at grave is his name koloman gögh. that is the slovak variant, hungarian variant would be kálmán gögh or probably, a variant with hungarian ö like petöfi. now is definitive clear, gögh or his close relatives see self/gögh as slovak. any weblog, that say gögh is hungarian is not a good source for me. --Mt7 09:31, 22 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

This is not a reliable source. I have plenty of Polish friends with Czech names and surnames and vice versa. Grave inscription is not an indicator. - Darwinek 11:53, 22 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Is that true? Is it not true? As a reader of Wikipedia, I have no easy way to know. If it is true, it should be easy to supply a reference. If it is not true, it should be removed.

I really want to encourage a much stronger culture which says: it is better to have no information, than to have information like this, with no sources. Any editor who removes such things, and refuses to allow it back without an actual and appropriate source, should be the recipient of a barnstar. --Jimbo [5] --Mt7 13:01, 22 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

new facts Nr. 2

facts
