Speedy deletion nomination of The Monument Mythos (analog horror)

[edit]

Hello, Ap2495,

Welcome to Wikipedia! I edit here too, under the username Grahaml35, and I thank you for your contributions.

I wanted to let you know, however, that I have tagged The Monument Mythos (analog horror) for deletion, because it doesn't appear to contain any encyclopedic content. You may find our guide for writing quality articles to be extremely informative. Also, you may want to consider working on future articles in draft space first, where they cannot be deleted for lacking content.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top. If the page is already deleted by the time you come across this message and you wish to retrieve the deleted material, please contact the deleting administrator.

For any further query, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|Grahaml35}}. And, don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~ . Thanks!

@Grahaml35: I just created this yesterday and forgot to save my progress. It is still under construction. Ap2495 (talk) 17:28, 20 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm Waxworker. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Albinism in popular culture, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Waxworker (talk) 22:48, 19 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not add or change content, as you did at The Monument Mythos (analog horror), without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. - Arjayay (talk) 20:24, 20 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Arjayay: First of all, it's my page, I made it. Secondly, it's still under construction and I will add the sources later. Ap2495 (talk) 16:07, 21 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Firstly, it is most definitely NOT "your" page, as per WP:OWN, "No one "owns" content .... If you create or edit an article, other editors can make changes, and you cannot prevent them from doing so."
Secondly, sources are not a later add-on, they need to be added at the same time as the "facts", otherwise they are just "unsourced claims", which can, indeed should, just be deleted.
If it is "still under construction", it should be a draft, not in article space. - Arjayay (talk) 16:26, 21 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Arjayay: Fair enough, the page is moving a little too fast though, it was only created two days ago. I'm also a little new to making articles, so forgive me if it's not going well. The issue with adding sources to this page is that it's not a very well known topic, and I'm doing my best with the very few articles I can find. Ap2495 (talk) 16:48, 21 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Ap2495 are you saying you would like it moved to draft-space, where you can work on it with much less interference? - Arjayay (talk) 17:01, 21 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Arjayay: Yeah I should probably do that. Ap2495 (talk) 17:03, 21 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Arjayay: It's now a draft, feel free to add things if you want. Ap2495 (talk) 17:33, 21 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

we're not deleting the MM draft. please see Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/Draft:The Monument Mythos Babysharkboss2 was here!! Hold me like a Grudge 15:59, 23 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Why? Most people including all of the creators want it gone. Ap2495 (talk) 16:04, 23 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thats been discussed in the MfD. Also see Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Dellvell Babysharkboss2 was here!! Hold me like a Grudge 16:07, 23 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Also, calling Wikipedia admins "stubborn" isn't helpful. Babysharkboss2 was here!! Must be a circus in town 16:22, 23 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
We just want it gone man. Ap2495 (talk) 16:28, 23 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I understand that, but most agree that a person asking for it's removal isn't grounds for removal (even if that person is the creator).
I think Alalch E. said It best in the MfD: Compassion doesn't build an encyclopedia. The topic was treated in a sensitive and due way, and the user who claims to be the person connected to the subject matter was talked to patiently and respectfully, and things were explained to him Babysharkboss2 was here!! Must be a circus in town 16:31, 23 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Another reason to delete it is the lack of credible reference and sources. That, and the incredibly small amount of information the draft provides. Ap2495 (talk) 16:34, 23 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
luckily, this is a draft. backtracking to the reason of deletion being the owner not wanting the draft to be kept, it's removal would cause BLP issues. Babysharkboss2 was here!! Must be a circus in town 16:38, 23 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Since it's a draft, it doesn't ever have to be published and should be allowed deletion. Ap2495 (talk) 16:39, 23 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
It's not being permanently denied deletion. If something (like a BLP or copyright issue) came up, and the community reaches consensus it needs deletion of the entire draft, then it can be deleted. The creator just requesting it be removed isn't grounds for draft deletion. Babysharkboss2 was here!! Must be a circus in town 16:42, 23 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
But it's several creators, not just one. Also, good point. Ap2495 (talk) 16:44, 23 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
