Rumana Mahmood (born 30 July 1951) is a Bangladesh Nationalist Party politician and a former member of parliament from Sirajganj-2.[1]

Early life and education

Begum Rumana was born on 30 July 1951 in Natore. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree.[2] She later married Iqbal Hasan Mahmud Tuku and moved to Sirajganj.

Career

Mahmood was elected to parliament in 2008 from Sirajganj-2 as a Bangladesh Nationalist Party candidate.[2][3] She was a member of the parliamentary standing committee on the Ministry of Commerce.[4]
