Hemnet is a Swedish digital marketplace for real estate, founded as an industry initiative in 1998. Every year, nearly 200,000 properties are listed on Hemnet, which corresponds to about 9 out of 10 homes sold annually in Sweden.[1]
On Hemnet, you can find upcoming listings (“soon for sale”), homes for sale, and final prices of completed sales, with the ability to view pictures of sold properties. Hemnet also includes features such as realtor search[2] and property valuation tools.[3]
Hemnet is Sweden’s fourth-largest website in terms of reach and had an average of 42 million visits per month in 2023. In total, Hemnet had around 500 million visits in 2023.[4] In addition to real estate ads, Hemnet generates revenue from business partners, advertisers, real estate agents, and property developers who advertise or are featured on Hemnet in various ways.
In 2023, Hemnet had a net revenue of 1005 million SEK and 154 employees.[5]
