Dollar amounts are nor odds

It is argued that this was resolved in 2022. Not to my satisfaction. Monetary amounts simply are not odds. They are only meaningful to those who gamble in particular way in Australia. That's not good for a global encyclopaedia. HiLo48 (talk) 09:38, 27 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Aspirex - No, clarification is NOT provided by the odds link. It doesn't mention the word "odds" on it's own. The wording uses jargon. (Evens, stake) It might be easily understood by people who regularly follow gambling in Australia, but our audience is much bigger than that. And funnily enough, the first part of the definitions there shows the odds in the traditional, non-monetary way. Why can't we? HiLo48 (talk) 00:57, 28 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
