WNS (Holdings) Limited (NYSEWNS) is a global digital-led business transformation and services company. The company is headquartered in New York, London and Mumbai.[4][5][6]

The company employs over 60,000 individuals and serves more than 600 clients across 13 countries through 64 delivery centers. WNS is publicly traded on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol WNS.[7]

History

WNS Global Services was established in 1996 as a carve-out of British Airways captive process and back-office activities. In 2002, Warburg Pincus acquired a majority stake, enabling WNS to become an independent entity.[8] The company expanded into other industries in 2003, and by 2004, new delivery centers were opened in Sri Lanka and India.[9][10]

In 2005, WNS acquired Trinity Partners, bolstering its finance and accounting services.[11] The company went public in 2006, listing on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE). WNS grew through strategic acquisitions, including Marketics (2007),[12] Aviva Global Services (2008), and Denali Sourcing Services (2017), helping expand its capabilities in analytics, healthcare, and procurement.[13][14]

The acquisitions of Vuram (2022), The Smart Cube, and OptiBuy (2023) further strengthened WNS’s capabilities in automation, procurement, and digital analytics.[15][16] Till 2024, WNS operates with over 60,000 employees globally, delivering services across industries such as travel, healthcare, banking & financial services, and logistics.[17][18]
