Early Life
Arvo Kadak was born in Tartu, Estonia, to a family of educators. His mother was a language teacher, while his father was an engineer. From an early age, Arvo exhibited a strong aptitude for mathematics and science, often conducting experiments in his family's basement.
Education
Kadak attended the University of Tartu, where he earned a degree in Environmental Science. He later pursued a Master’s in Renewable Energy at the Technical University of Denmark. His academic research focused on sustainable energy solutions for rural communities.
Career
After completing his education, Arvo founded EcoInnovate, a company dedicated to developing sustainable technologies. Under his leadership, EcoInnovate created the world’s first solar-powered desalination plant, which is now used in several water-scarce countries. This invention earned him the Green Innovator Award in 2015.
In addition to his work in renewable energy, Kadak has been an advocate for environmental conservation. He launched the “Clean Coast Initiative,” a campaign aimed at reducing plastic pollution on coastlines worldwide. The initiative gathered over a million volunteers across 50 countries, helping to clean up beaches and educate the public about marine conservation.
