Hey JP, I noticed your procedural decline at Notwally's Talk page and it dovetailed nicely into this "investigation" I'm doing of a new user named Starinthemirror. I believe they are likely Knowitall369, the user with whom Notwally was edit-warring. Knowitall hasn't edited since I blocked them for 48h on September 11. However, Star has been harassing Notwally on their Talk page and filed a report at ANI (which I removed twice). In addition, Star is saying essentially that Notwally is reverting at various articles without explanation or discussion on the Talk page (the former isn't accurate), which is precisely what Knowitall has complained about. Could you please compare the two?--Bbb23 (talk) 16:57, 17 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Lol, please @Jpgordon, give @Bbb23 a hand with investigating this. Honestly, I’d be honored if you thought I joined WP 14-years ago, so no shame there! Go ahead and look into everything thoroughly—compare whatever you need, and investigate this with your full focus. Time waste - @Bbb23you dont own WP. We are all the same and @Notwally Is deleting since 7 week content without any explanaions or discussions in Talk pages. Dont know whats so hard to understand here. This one needs to go to a full SPI. My own quick look shows intersections between this new account and a couple of others, with possible connections to Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Kcosip/Archive, but I don't have time today to do a proper analysis. --jpgordon𝄢𝄆𝄐𝄇 17:24, 17 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Do your full analysis ASAP since you’ve gone ahead and accused me of being a sock puppet. Now I’m actually interested to see what you come up with. Starinthemirror (talk) 17:30, 17 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Here's a crazy thought. Maybe the reason Notwally keeps getting accused of the same kind of misbehavior by multiple users is because he repeatedly engages in the same kind of misbehavior. Knowitall369 (talk) 07:29, 18 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks

I've noticed it in the same moment and now it looks as if I hadn't noticed myself. Well. :) Thanks. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 03:00, 29 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

The jerk factor seems a little elevated recently. --jpgordon𝄢𝄆𝄐𝄇 03:03, 29 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Heh.
I could have guessed that a vandal labeling the removal of BLP violations as "defamatory" might also fake an accepted unblock request, but 331dot did appear in the page history and I didn't (want to?) see the absurdity of the alleged response... ~ ToBeFree (talk) 03:09, 29 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Jp, nice to see one of your concise declines again. If you haven't already, please look at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Cyonsw. Is Kimyoungjini one of the group that is confirmed to Bleedroots or one of the possilikely group? Thanks.--Bbb23 (talk) 15:03, 6 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

This one matches Broadcastar. --jpgordon𝄢𝄆𝄐𝄇 15:23, 6 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks.--Bbb23 (talk) 15:37, 6 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Please take a look at your latest unblock request

The history page of that talk page is a mess. User talk:FuelTheFuego 24. One of the IPs admits to being that user.

(If you don't see this immediately, it's likely another admin cleared it up already) win8x (talking | spying) 02:33, 22 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I'm more inclined to just delete the whole page as vandalism. But I've rolled it back to the only edit from the actual user account, declined it, removed TPA, and protected the page. What a bore. --jpgordon𝄢𝄆𝄐𝄇 02:38, 22 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Restaurant supplies

These guys seem to be rather international, e.g.:

https://ca.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fregidora

https://pt.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fritadeira

Is there a way to inform the other language versions of Wikipedia of this stuff? And should they be added to the global spam blacklist? Thanks, Polygnotus (talk) 15:49, 22 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Clarify, please. Which guys do you mean? --jpgordon𝄢𝄆𝄐𝄇 20:27, 23 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Invitation to participate in a research

Hello,

The Wikimedia Foundation is conducting a survey of Wikipedians to better understand what draws administrators to contribute to Wikipedia, and what affects administrator retention. We will use this research to improve experiences for Wikipedians, and address common problems and needs. We have identified you as a good candidate for this research, and would greatly appreciate your participation in this anonymous survey.

You do not have to be an Administrator to participate.

The survey should take around 10-15 minutes to complete. You may read more about the study on its Meta page and view its privacy statement .

Please find our contact on the project Meta page if you have any questions or concerns.

Kind Regards,

WMF Research Team
