Really?
[edit]I cannot believe that anybody thinks this show is not a work of fiction dressed up as reality. It really does give Americans a bad name. In any European country this would be subject to legal action for its deceit. Are any Americans really that stupid that they believe this to be real? Anyone who cannot see that this is a poorly done heap of crap and defends it as real must have something wrong with them. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 188.29.89.56 (talk) 16:19, 3 March 2015 (UTC)
- It's as real as you might expect a cross between Bargain Hunt and the Jerry Springer Show to be, and should be taken about as seriously for entertainment purposes. Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 13:11, 1 April 2015 (UTC)
Comments
[edit]Entered bias tag as this article seems to be selling and advocating this particular show (using first, best, etc with no citation or other documentation). This reads more like a studio press release than an encyclopedic article. The Moody Blue (Talk) 16:49, 30 November 2011 (UTC)
The camera work, how the buyers behave, how the stuff is arranged in the rooms, everything seems very artificial. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 83.20.194.140 (talk) 01:00, 5 December 2011 (UTC)
TruTV is by far the fakest reality TV. Storage Hunters is a bad counterfeit of Storage Wars and Auction Hunters. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.86.113.117 (talk) 19:42, 15 January 2012 (UTC)
- You just might be correct. Considering Jesse put one bidder in a headlock, and remained on the show, might be proof that all the petty fighting is staged. MS, Dania Fl 206.192.35.125 (talk) 15:28, 15 July 2013 (UTC)
I have been to only around 8 auctions here in California and at every one of those , there was over one hundred people. On " Storage Hunters " the crowd ( or should I say extras ) is very small. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.215.204.200 (talk) 07:34, 25 January 2012 (UTC)
- I notice the same thing on Storage Wars. Storage Wars has auctioneer Dan Dotson. Storage Hunters has auctioneer Sean Kelly. Is it possible each auctioneer has an agreement with his production company to inform only certain people of upcoming auctions? Or theres another possible scenario: Do storage auctions typically attract people who are there only as spectators? MS, Dania Fl206.192.35.125 (talk) 15:32, 15 July 2013 (UTC)

Season 2
[edit]Some episodes listed here as Season 2, belong to Season 1 according to http://www.trutv.com/shows/storage-hunters/episodes/index.html — Preceding unsigned comment added by 186.108.190.206 (talk) 15:11, 31 March 2012 (UTC)
Removed "Criticism" section
[edit]I checked the sources in the removed section and the section is a violation of Wikipedia's policy on biographies of living persons (BLP) and a coatracked attack on one of the show's participants. The sources are search results from ripoffreport.com and a synthesis of primary sources (the California documents). The only thing that can be reliably sourced is that Tassone claims that he has a moving business and also has a comedy act.
This reference merely verifies that Tassone has a comedy act. It does not remotely verify (a) that his comedy routine utilized the "Scott the Mover" persona or (b) that he used it until his initial appearance on Storage Hunters. Ripoffreport.com is user generated content and therefore not usable in any Wikipedia article, and especially not in a BLP. The same applies to blogs and other self-published content unless it is the official blog of the BLP subject or the show in question. The California documents are inadmissible per this section of the BLP policy.
Note that repeated insertion of material that violates the BLP policy can result in blocking. Voceditenore (talk) 05:57, 22 October 2012 (UTC)

Infobox and show's run
[edit]Can somebody help me with the infobox? It says the show was cancelled in the US in 2013, but the British version of the show started in October 2014, and given that Sean Kelly and other original US cast members have encouraged real storage auctions in the UK, I don't think the show has actually ended per se. What should we do? Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 12:34, 23 March 2015 (UTC)
