User talk:Innisfree987
Hello! Thanks for dropping by.
Currently my on-wiki availability is varied.
Due to constraints on available time, I ask that paid contributors seek help elsewhere. Fellow volunteers are welcome to leave a message; and if you need assistance sooner than I can offer it, the help desk or the Teahouse are good bets for a quick reply.
Happy editing!
Welcome to the drive!
Welcome, welcome, welcome Innisfree987! I'm glad that you are joining the drive! Please, have a cup of WikiTea, and go cite some articles.

Your draft article, Draft:Frances Robles
Hello, Innisfree987. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Frances Robles".
In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been deleted. When you plan on working on it further and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.
Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. ✗plicit 14:35, 8 February 2024 (UTC)

- I was thinking how nice it was to see you too @Ktin! Thanks for dropping a note! Yes I haven’t been able to be on wiki as much as I would like, all the more glad to see you holding down the fort! Have you been well, I hope? Innisfree987 (talk) 08:30, 19 February 2024 (UTC)

Thank for your contributions to Levinus Monson. I understand you are trying to help to prevent this article from deletion, although this discussion is about the previous version, not the current version on what your had changed and edited. Whatever will happens, thank you for helping out! ⚒️MinecraftPlayer321⚒️ | 💬 02:54, 29 February 2024 (UTC) |
- Thanks for this acknowledgment, @MinecraftPlayer321, I appreciate it! Just to clarify, AfD discussions are not about a specific version of the entry, but about whether the subject itself is notable, per WP:ARTN and WP:NEXIST. You might also check out WP:BEFORE for advice on the kinds of searches to perform in order to evaluate the subject’s notability before nominating in the future. Perfume list - I use Fragrantica references, OK?
Good job clearing the List of perfumes up. Just in case you'll see my edits: I use Fragrantica site. Unfortunately, it has a window called "great deals at EBay". Since EBay is, basically, an online flea market, I have no problem with using Fragrantica as a source of data on perfumes.
It's not like I'm promoting stuff, it's just because I don't really have the time to sift through .PDFs and can't use actually promotional materials from glam mags. 81.89.66.133 (talk) 06:34, 7 March 2024 (UTC)
- Thanks for your message, I appreciate your reaching out. Fragrantica’s database gives no indication of a fact-checking process though, so we can’t count on it as a reliable source. Given the amount of promotion that list attracts, we need to be vigilant about high-quality sources. Thanks for your help on it. Innisfree987 (talk) 09:07, 7 March 2024 (UTC)
- To add, I would actually support restricting that list to only perfumes that meet Wikipedia’s standard for notability, since at this point thousands of perfumes are released every year and Wikipedia is not a directory nor an indiscriminate list. At minimum, to justify mention, we need to see some notice in a reliable secondary source; merely existing isn’t enough. Innisfree987 (talk) 09:13, 7 March 2024 (UTC)
- Thank you. Indeed, it's hard to tell if a perfume is notable or not... unless it has own article? 81.89.66.133 (talk) 11:30, 13 March 2024 (UTC)
- Some have been reviewed in books like Perfumes: The Guide; often those will also have other reliable reviews as well. (Sorry for the delayed reply on this!) Innisfree987 (talk) 06:19, 31 March 2024 (UTC)

DYK for Brittany Luse
On 30 June 2024, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Brittany Luse, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that Brittany Luse's podcast The Nod was praised for its exploration of "the diversity and richness of the Black experience"? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Brittany Luse. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Brittany Luse), and the hook may be added to the statistics page after its run on the Main Page has completed. Some photo help
Hi, Innisfree! I'm currently working on a draft for Grace Lavery, who is married to Daniel M. Lavery. I noticed that you were involved in photo-related shenanigans for that article in years past and was wondering if you had any insight on obtaining a photo for Grace? I wanted to ask ahead of time before I finish the draft, just to see if we can dig a good photo up beforehand. SilverserenC 17:06, 3 July 2024 (UTC)
- Oh gosh. You know, @Silver seren, if I recall correctly, that was resolved by Daniel sending a current photo but no, sorry to say I have no idea who if anyone got in touch to make that happen. On a different note tho, my recollection is there used to be a draft for Grace—requesting a refund might be helpful to understand why it wasn’t published previously. Good luck! Innisfree987 (talk) 17:22, 3 July 2024 (UTC)
As an aside, the inability to access Newspapers.com right now is quite vexing, because there's likely some extra information, maybe even background info, on Lavery that could be found there. But the entire system is down right now. And I can't really delay on moving the article into mainspace. Oh well. SilverserenC 16:42, 7 July 2024 (UTC)

Women in Green's "Around the World in 31 Days" GA Editathon – October 2024
Hello Innisfree987:
WikiProject Women in Green is holding a month-long Good Article Edit-a-thon event in October 2024!
Running from October 1 to 31, 2024, WikiProject Women in Green (WiG) is hosting a Good Article (GA) edit-a-thon event with the theme Around the World in 31 Days! All experience levels welcome. Never worked on a GA project before? We'll teach you how to get started. Or maybe you're an old hand at GAs – we'd love to have you involved! Participants are invited to work on nominating and/or reviewing GA submissions related to women and women's works (e.g., books, films) during the event period. We hope to collectively cover article subjects from at least 31 countries (or broader international articles) by month's end. GA resources and one-on-one support will be provided by experienced GA editors, and participants will have the opportunity to earn a special WiG barnstar for their efforts.
We hope to see you there!

I reverted your Lowry edit
There's a discussion in the Rich Lowry talk page at the moment about his recent slur usage, and a few editors are wanting to opt for removing the content altogether due to BLP concerns. I'm trying for a pointless delicate balance for inclusion, because even though it's obvious to anyone that he said it, it is a recent event with BLP concerns and there isn't a reputable media consensus backing up that he did actually say what we all heard, so inclusion at the moment favors weaker statements that don't definitively represent that he said it. So, I reverted your perfectly good edit, wikilawyering style. I did so fully knowing you're right. I'm sorry. Mewnst (talk) 20:40, 17 September 2024 (UTC)
- Thanks for the message @Mewnst, I appreciate it. It looks like the version has stabilized for the time being. Innisfree987 (talk) 06:02, 18 September 2024 (UTC)

Administrator Elections: Call for Candidates
Administrator Elections | Call for Candidates
The administrator elections process has officially started! Interested editors are encouraged to self-nominate or arrange to be nominated by reviewing the instructions at Wikipedia:Administrator elections/October 2024/Call for candidates.
Here is the schedule:
- October 8–14 - Candidate sign-up (we are here)
- October 22–24 - Discussion phase
- October 25–31 - SecurePoll voting phase
Please note the following:
- The requirements to run are identical to RFA—a prospective candidate must be extended confirmed.
- Prospective candidates are advised to become familar with the community's expectations of adminstrators, which are much higher than the minimum requirement of having extended confirmed status. This includes reviewing successful and unsuccessful RFAs, reading the essay Wikipedia:Advice for RfA candidates, and possibly requesting an optional poll on their chances of passing.
- The process will have a one week call for candidates phase, a one week pause to set up SecurePoll, a three-day period of public discussion, followed by 7 days of no public discussion and a private vote using SecurePoll.
- The outcomes of this process are identical to making requests for adminship. There is no official difference between an administrator appointed through RFA or administrator elections.
- Administrator elections are also a valid means of regaining adminship for de-sysopped editors.
Ask any questions about the process at the talk page. A separate user talk message will be sent to official candidates with additional information about the process.
To avoid sending too many messages, this will be the last mass message sent about administrator elections. If you are interested in the process, please make sure to watchlist the appropriate pages. A watchlist notice will be added when the discussion phase opens, and again when the voting phase opens.

Administrator Elections: Discussion phase
The discussion phase of the October 2024 administrator elections is officially open. As a reminder, the schedule of the election is:
- October 22–24 - Discussion phase
- October 25–31 - SecurePoll voting phase
- November 1–? - Scrutineering phase
During October 22–24, we will be in the discussion phase. The candidate subpages will open to questions and comments from everyone, in the same style as a request for adminship. You may discuss the candidates at Wikipedia:Administrator elections/October 2024/Discussion phase.
On October 25, we will start the voting phase. The candidate subpages will close again to public questions and discussion, and everyone will have a week to use the SecurePoll software to vote, which uses a secret ballot. You can see who voted, but not who they voted for. Please note that the vote tallies cannot be made public until after voting has ended and as such, it will not be possible for you to see an individual candidate's tally during the election. The suffrage requirements are different from those at RFA.
Once voting concludes, we will begin the scrutineering phase, which will last for an indeterminate amount of time, perhaps a week or two. Once everything is certified, the results will be posted on the main election page. In order to be granted adminship, a candidate must have received at least 70.0% support, calculated as Support / (Support + Oppose). As this is a vote and not a consensus, there are no bureaucrat discussions ("crat chats").
Any questions or issues can be asked on the election talk page. Thank you for your participation. Happy electing.
