Location of Prešov District in the Prešov Region.

Petrovany (Hungarian: Tarcaszentpéter) is a village and municipality in Prešov District in the Prešov Region of eastern Slovakia.

History

In historical records the village was first mentioned in 1304.

Geography

The municipality lies at an altitude of 233 metres and covers an area of 17.37 km2 (6.71 sq mi) (2020-06-30/-07-01).[1]

Population

It has a population of about 1,991 people (2020-12-31).[2]
