She was the first

[edit]

The article states that she is the first woman to head a government in an Australian state or territory but did not mention she is the first ACT Chief Minister and the first female Chief Minister. The latter two facts is only implied not stated when reading the article. I have a feeling that she would have been noted as the first female Chief Minister if she had not been the first person to be the Chief Minister. Therefore sexism is being implied in the article. To add to this the Trevor Kaine article notes that he is the first ACT Opposition Leader. Why was Kaine being noted as the first Opposition leader in the territory while Follett was not as first Chief Minister. Is it because Follett is a woman and Kaine is a man.--The Shadow Treasurer (talk) 00:10, 27 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
